Bookings are made directly with Sasha by phone or email. There is no booking form — you talk to the person who will be standing in the river with you.
What to tell us
- What you want to fish for — steelhead, salmon, trout or carp
- Rough dates, and whether they are flexible
- How many anglers (up to three)
- Half day, full day or a private lesson
- Centerpin, fly or spin — or “not sure”
- Your experience, and what you want to get out of the day
That last one matters most. “I want to learn to centerpin” and “I keep losing steelhead at the net” lead to two completely different days.

Quick answers
Do I need my own gear?
No. Rods, reels, centerpin and spinning tackle, flies, terminal tackle, leaders and tippet are all included. If you own gear you would rather fish, bring it — and if you want to learn on your own rod, that is often the most useful way to spend the day.
Do I need an Ontario fishing licence?
Yes. Every angler needs a valid Ontario fishing licence, and it is the one thing we cannot supply for you. You can buy one online from the Ontario government before your trip.
I have never centerpin fished. Can I still book?
Yes — complete beginners are welcome, and so are experienced steelheaders who want to fix something specific. A first-timer spends the day on casting, float control and reading water. An experienced angler might spend it on shot patterns, depth and detecting soft takes.
What happens if the river is unfishable?
If rain, flow or temperature make the river unsafe or unfishable, your trip is rescheduled at no charge. River conditions are not your financial risk — that is the whole point of fishing with somebody who watches these rivers.
Are these boat trips?
No. Every trip is walk and wade. You will be on your feet in the river, which is why waders and decent footing matter more than casting distance.
